Agility has helped Westpac to take out Oracle innovation award

Agility was asked to present at the Oracle symposium 2015 and present on how we have successfully helped Westpac’s banking distribution team to go Agile.

The agile adoption approach and its application to realise customer focused value was warmly received. Agility shared how we have used our Lean Launch approach to firstly identify the elements of value and then use our deliver framework to establish agile practices and work within enterprise constraints.

The initiative successfully realised customer value cutting cycle time from 12-18mths to 12 weeks. No mean feat, particularly because this was working with a new team and technology and many said it couldn’t be done.

The cross functional team successfully built a valuable yet lean version of a tablet banking tool that is now being used by private and premium bankers. This tablet tool is helping to move bankers to wow their customers via side by side conversation that is engaging and enriched yet compliant.

Whilst achieving this success Agility established ongoing deliver flow via 12 week shippable increments. This release train of persistent cross functional scrum teams allows the work to be brought to the teams yet still being nimble at scale.

The team is now on its 4th release increment with the rollout to broader Westpac group in sight.

The tablet solution is built upon Oracles core CRM platform and leverages some of their newest technologies and functionalities. The success of this initiate was seen by Oracle in the US, and their VP of product awarded the Westpac team an innovation award for the excellence that has been achieved.

Congratulations Westpac ! and thank you Oracle, for inviting Agility to share how this was achieved through a fantastic Westpac , Oracle and Agility partnership.
